Cancellation and Refund Policy

This document is part of Hoodex's official policies for workers, employers, and platform users.

1. Overview

This policy governs cancellations and refunds on the Hoodex Platform. All determinations under this policy are made at Hoodex's sole discretion, subject to applicable law. Hoodex reserves the right to modify this policy at any time.

2. Cancellation by Employer

After acceptance, within 2 hours of job startA reasonable cancellation fee may be charged based on the stage of the booking.
After Worker has arrived at locationFull job fee charged as late cancellation penalty. No refund.
Repeat cancellations (3+ in 30 days)Higher cancellation fee, temporary restrictions, or suspension.

3. Cancellation by Worker

  • Workers who cancel an accepted job will receive a negative mark on their reliability rating.
  • Repeat cancellations (3+ in 30 days) may result in account suspension.
  • Worker no-show (failure to arrive within a reasonable time without notification) is treated as cancellation and subject to penalties deducted from the Worker's Platform Wallet.

4. Refund Eligibility

4.1 Eligible for Refund

  • Employer paid for a job that was never accepted by any Worker: Full refund of job fee.
  • Technical error causing double charge: Full refund of duplicate charge.
  • Job cancelled by Worker before arriving: Refund of job fee minus Platform service charge.

4.2 NOT Eligible for Refund

  • Employer cancelled after Worker arrived at location.
  • Disputes regarding quality of service (handled through Dispute Resolution Policy).
  • Platform Commission and service charges (unless caused by Hoodex system error).
  • Payments for completed jobs.
  • Incentives, promotional credits, or bonus payments.

5. Refund Process

  • Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the transaction through in-app support.
  • Hoodex will process eligible refunds within 7-14 business days.
  • Refunds are credited to the original payment instrument.
  • Wallet credits are not refundable to bank accounts except as per the Payments & Payout Policy.

6. Disputes on Cancellation

Disputes regarding cancellation charges or refund eligibility must be raised through the Dispute Resolution Policy. Hoodex's determination is final for Platform purposes.
