Payments and Payout Policy

This document is part of Hoodex's official policies for workers, employers, and platform users.

1. Payment Architecture

Hoodex operates a technology-mediated payment system where Employers pay for services through the Platform and Workers receive payouts net of Platform Commission. All payments are processed through RBI-compliant payment gateways and payment aggregators.

2. Employer Payments

  • Employers must pay through designated Platform payment methods: UPI, credit/debit card, net banking, or in-app wallet.
  • Off-platform cash payments or bank transfers are prohibited and NOT covered by Platform protections.
  • Hoodex may hold payments in escrow until job completion confirmation.
  • Platform fee and GST (if applicable) are charged in addition to the job fee.

3. Platform Commission

  • Hoodex charges a Platform Commission as a percentage of the transaction value, disclosed at job posting.
  • Commission rates are subject to change with 14 days' notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
  • Commission is non-refundable once a job is completed.

4. Worker Payouts

  • Workers receive earnings (job fee minus Platform Commission) credited to their Platform Wallet after job completion and verification.
  • Wallet balance may be withdrawn to the registered bank account or UPI within a reasonable number of business days.
  • Minimum withdrawal threshold: the minimum threshold communicated in the app.
  • Payouts are subject to TDS deduction as required under the Income Tax Act.
  • Hoodex may place a hold on payouts pending dispute resolution or fraud investigation.

5. GST & Tax

  • Hoodex's Platform fees are subject to GST at applicable rates.
  • Workers earning above the GST threshold are responsible for their own GST registration and compliance.
  • Hoodex will issue TDS certificates (Form 16A) within prescribed timelines.

6. Failed Transactions & Errors

  • Failed transaction where Employer is debited but payment not reflected: report within 24 hours at support@hoodex.work.
  • Hoodex will investigate and resolve within 7 business days.
  • Hoodex is not liable for bank or payment gateway delays beyond its control.

7. Wallet Policy

  • Platform Wallet is not a bank account and does not earn interest.
  • Wallet credits are non-transferable between accounts.
  • Hoodex may reverse wallet credits obtained through fraud or error.
  • Upon account termination, remaining wallet balance (after deducting outstanding dues) will be refunded within 30 days, subject to fraud verification.

8. AML Compliance

Hoodex complies with applicable Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002. Unusual or high-value transactions may be flagged and reported to relevant authorities.
