Background Verification Disclaimer

1. Scope of Verification

Hoodex conducts identity verification and may conduct limited background checks on Workers as part of registration. This disclaimer explains the scope, limitations, and purpose of such verification.

2. What Hoodex Verifies

• Identity documents (Aadhaar, PAN, Driving Licence, Passport) — verified against government databases where technically and legally possible.
• Mobile number via OTP.
• Selfie/facial match against identity document photograph.
• Bank account details verification.
• Third-party background/criminal record check — conducted for select service categories and as mandated by applicable regulations.

3. Critical Limitations

• Verification is NOT a guarantee of identity, character, honesty, or suitability of any User.
• Background checks cover only the period and information accessible at the time of the check. Past records may not be comprehensive.
• Criminal records may not be fully disclosed in government databases (unreported crimes, acquittals, expunged records).
• Identity documents may be forged. Despite best efforts, sophisticated forgeries may not be detected.
• Verification is conducted through third-party providers. Hoodex is not responsible for errors, delays, or inaccuracies by third-party verification services.
• A "Verified" badge does NOT mean a safe, trustworthy, or reliable User.

Users are advised to exercise their own judgment and due diligence before engaging any Worker or Employer. Employers should evaluate the suitability of Workers for their specific requirements independently.
