Anti-Fraud Policy

This document is part of Hoodex's official policies for workers, employers, and platform users.

1. Purpose

Hoodex is committed to maintaining a fraud-free Platform through proactive detection, prevention, and enforcement. This policy describes the types of fraud monitored, preventive measures, and consequences.

2. Types of Fraud Monitored

2.1 Identity Fraud

  • Using stolen, forged, or AI-generated identity documents.
  • Impersonating another person or creating accounts in another person's name.

2.2 Job Listing Fraud

  • Fake job postings to harvest Worker data.
  • Listings for illegal or dangerous activities.
  • Non-payment of Workers after job completion.

2.3 Payment Fraud

  • Chargeback fraud (disputing legitimate transactions).
  • Using stolen payment instruments.
  • Wallet manipulation or fake payment confirmations.

2.4 Ratings & Review Fraud

  • Fake reviews, rating farms, or review exchanges.
  • Retaliatory or coerced reviews.

2.5 Referral & Incentive Fraud

  • Fake referrals to obtain incentives. Multi-account creation for incentive exploitation.

2.6 Location Fraud

  • GPS spoofing to claim to be at a job location while not physically present. False check-ins or check-outs.

3. Fraud Prevention Measures

  • Advanced AI and ML models continuously monitoring all Platform activity for fraud patterns.
  • Document verification using third-party KYC providers with liveness detection.
  • Real-time GPS verification and geofencing.
  • Payment anomaly detection and chargeback monitoring.
  • Device fingerprinting to detect multiple accounts on the same device.
  • Behavioural analytics to detect unusual activity patterns.

4. Consequences of Fraud

  • Immediate account suspension and permanent termination.
  • Recovery of fraudulently obtained amounts from outstanding payouts.
  • Reporting to law enforcement and financial regulators.
  • Civil and criminal legal proceedings.
  • Blacklisting of associated phone numbers, devices, and bank accounts.

5. Reporting Fraud

Report fraud immediately through the in-app 'Report Fraud' feature or by emailing support@hoodex.work. Reports are treated with confidentiality. False reports are themselves a violation of Platform policies.
